PHP security vulnerability: Viadrina responds with updates

On 21 October 2026, experts warned of a serious security vulnerability in the PHP programming language. PHP is used by numerous websites and digital services. The IKMZ responded on the very same day, installing security updates on the affected systems and thus averting a potential threat to Viadrina in good time.

The IKMZ continues to monitor the technical systems and services closely. Should short-term updates or temporary restrictions on individual services become necessary as part of further precautionary measures, we ask for your understanding and patience.
