Project management software Redmine

The open source platform Redmine is a web-based project planning and project management software written in the RoR framework (Ruby on Rails). It enables projects to be planned, processed, managed and documented efficiently.

Information about Redmine

  • Project planning and management at the level of individual tasks
  • Visual representation using Gantt charts, project and schedule calendars
  • User, group and role management for flexible assignment of authorisations within a project
  • Ticket management with an issue tracking system for defining, distributing and assigning individual tasks/tickets to project members
  • Discussion forums for the exchange of information
  • Wiki for web-based documentation of a project and for building an online knowledge base
  • News and notification system via e-mail
  • Document storage for direct uploading and provision of project documents

The Redmine platform was originally set up for the IKMZ's internal project management. It is now also used by other areas of the European University.

Access to Redmine project management.

For access please use your Viadrina login data (usually "fmustermann" for Frank Mustermann).

To apply for your own project, please send an e-mail message to cmsadmin@europa-uni.de.

The email should contain the following:

  • a contact person responsible for the project
  • basic project information (description, employees/areas involved)
  • expected duration of the project
