What functions does Particify offer?
Particify offers classic question formats: Multiple and single choice, yes/no, Likert and grading scales, free text, short answer, flashcards and innovative: grid-based picture questions for marking tasks in pictures and STEM diagrams.
Particify offers you the opportunity to integrate the Inverted (Flipped) Classroom learning strategy into your learning events. This allows you to move knowledge transfer from the lecture theatre to the study room.
Particify implements a formative assessment: you find out promptly where your students have difficulties and can address them appropriately in the lecture.
Particify enables participants to give live feedback during the lecture. Would you like to know whether students can follow your lecture? With live feedback, the audience can give feedback on the pace of learning or understanding and also ask the lecturer interim questions.
Frequently asked questions
Particify is a web-based voting system that can be used to increase interaction between lecturers and students. The Particify audience response system opens up new possibilities for interaction between lecturer and audience - in the lecture theatre, at home and on the move. The feedback and voting platform promotes the innovative formats of digital teaching:
Through the use of Particify, questions can be asked that students can answer using their mobile devices.
The Particify instance of the European University Viadrina is only intended for use by employees and students of the university.
If all students access Particify at the same time for the first time, there will be a massive simultaneous download of the web app and thus a temporary Wi-Fi overload. To avoid this, it would be helpful to provide students with the link in advance (or right at the start of the course).
If the students have already accessed the web app once, Particify is already available in the browser memory.Ask students to vote in groups, this not only reduces the number of active users but also has a didactic benefit.
